International Headquarters in Oklahoma City

The Building

World Neighbors International Headquarters, located in Oklahoma City, Okla., was designed by nationally-renowned architect Rand Elliot in the early 1990s, using the simplest of materials and taking on a village-inspired theme. The floors are a mixture of brown-stained concrete and green carpet in the shape of grass patches. The high ceiling leaves the rafters exposed, providing the feeling of the inside of a hut. The building is the ultimate in recycling. The walls are raw flakeboard made from recycled woodwaste materials.

Leather thongs are used instead of doornobs.

Recycled materials are throughout the building, including raw flakeboard.
